Are you a fan of the old Mechwarrior series? Can’t wait for Mechwarrior Online to launch? Then boy or boy have you been missing out on this mod. Mechwarrior Living Legends is a spiritual successor to Mechwarrior 4 as a community built total conversion mod for Crysis running on Cryengine 2. Currently this is the best looking Mechwarrior game in existence aside from the upcoming Mechwarrior Online but surprisingly it isn’t that popular as a mod. The general loadout is simple but vast with several well known mechs making a return as well as some pimped out tanks.

Unlike other Mechwarrior titles, you can eject from your mech and actually walk around in a mobile suit with various light arms weapons. This allows for even more advance tactics on the battlefield outside of simple mech warfare. And not to fret, the game does a tremendous job at capturing the same feel and gameplay as Mechwarrior 4, save for the fact that it’s 40x better looking.
