French developer Quantic Dream gave us Heavy Rain in 2010 which was met with mixed reactions. For a game consisting almost entirely of quicktime events, it sure did deliver a new experience unfamiliar to gamers. To some this game was awkward, to others it was a masterpiece. Now they’re at it again with the announcement of Beyond: Two Souls and their motion capture acting is looking better than ever.

It features the same film-like gameplay as Heavy Rain but looks to provide a much more action based storyline than its predecessor with far more sci-fi elements as well. The main character Jodie Holmes is portrayed via motion capture by Ellen Page and the game’s story spans 15 years of her life as she is haunted by a supernatural presence.
